Mike is a seasoned superintendent with over 35 years of experience in Silicon Valley. He has built new Corporate Campuses, Large Data Centers, Clean Room Facilities, and many other high-end technology projects. Mike’s commitment to excellence shows in his attention to detail, scheduling ability, and overall quality. Mike’s great communication skills enable him to work extremely well with owners, architects, and subcontractors alike.
Steve McGavern has over 30 years of hands-on experience in project and team management. He has a diverse background in construction and managerial areas with expertise in dirt-to-done construction. Steve also has expereice in project planning, budgeting, identifying cost saving solutions and mitigating schedules to meet and beat deadlines. With his proven ability to manage in dynamic environments he is able to lead teams with multiple disciplines and create strategies and plans in the midst of rapid growth and change. NOVO challegened Steve to build out a "Ground-Up" division within the company.
Alan has been a successful superintendent since 1979 and has been responsible for the supervision of all aspects of construction; commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential from the “ground-up” throughout the Bay Area, Monterey Peninsula and Salinas Valley. He is an excellent leader with the ability to schedule subcontractors, anticipate potential problems, assure job performance, maintain safety and accurate records, while providing thorough communications with all parties involved.

As a result of the construction boom, five of the top seven spots on the list were held by Bay Area-based companies. This comprised a total of 1,500 building permits.NOVO held over 20% of them to secure #3 on the list.
